About

“I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till I drop…

I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.”

–Jack Kerouac, On the Road

2013

I’ve now been traveling for four years. Which doesn’t even seem possible, even as I sit here and know that it’s true. I’ve lived in America, Ireland, China, and Taiwan. I’ve wandered all across Europe, Asia, and the United States. There’s still a seemingly infinite amount of places in this world that I hope to see, things I hope to experience, but for a little while I’m catching my breath back in Taiwan. It’s time to reflect and figure a few things out.

This site has gone through  several revisions, and if you’re looking for my original travel blog, then head on over to Go-Everywhere.com. This site is going to be more for my personal writing, where I just let the words that are clouding up my mind spill out into posts that may or may not make sense. Let’s cross our fingers for the former.

  1. Thank you so much Tessa-Rose for the follow on my were blog it is really appreciated. So welcome aboard and if you have any suggestions or requests just drop me a line. Looks like you are taking on the best education ever: travel. May your journeys be full of fun -0 now to tour your site, MM 🍀

    • I’d always been fascinated by Asia, and when I studied in Taiwan it just felt like the right place. I was only there two months for a summer program, but two months was enough. About six months after that program ended, I moved to Taiwan. Best decision I’ve ever made. Good luck in your own travels, and feel free to email me if you’ve ever got questions or just need that extra push of motivation to make a move!

  2. Hi, thank you for the visit and the follow. Traveling is wonderful isn’t it? I see you too like Asia. I recommend you try incredible India! I hope you will visit again soon and often! Have a lovely weekend! Anne

    • Asia has my heart. I dream of seeing India– and will, one of these days! Mongolia is next for me, though!

    • Hey, thanks so much! Sorry it’s taken me awhile to work on this, it was a busy month. I’ll get on to nominating other blogs right now! And thanks again for the nomination!

      Happy travels 🙂

  11. Nice blog. I especially enjoyed your writings about the meaning of travel: “It makes me grow up, but it lets me stay young”. Wonderful! I am planning my first trip to Taiwan in August and will be using your road trip as a template. Happy travels! 🙂

  12. Heya, thanks for stopping by and for your follow. I’ve just scanned through your blog and I’ve got to say I’m little jealous of your travels. 🙂

  13. You have really been around, young lady! I was a bit hesitant as to travelling between China and Taiwan (?) , but it seems that you made out all right? I have been to Taiwan also, but way before you were born, and I’m sure it has undergone a radical change since then.
But you haven’t been to Norway? Really?! But now you are about to embark on a digital journey, I understand?

Thank you for subscribing to my blog! There are more than 2900 images waiting for you – mostly ‘full screens’. And if you’re still in Mongolia, I’d be delighted if you’d visit my blog as much as possible. I’m sort of ‘collecting countries’, but visits from Mongolia doesn’t seem to stick in my statistics? It seems that they do not like the Internet that much in Mongolia?

Make yourself a pot of tea. You have a lot of images to sift through!
And may be you’ll just have to visit Norway as well? Please enjoy!

  14. Thankyou so much for the follow! 😀 I love your blog! You are truly inspiring for the budding traveller like me 😀

  15. Thanks for the follow. I love your blog. It is amazing all of the places you have been. You’re pictures are also amazing. Keep traveling! Keep blogging! Thanks for sharing!

  16. Wow! You have to been to so many places. What did you think of Hong Kong? I was born there and moved to the UK when I was about 8 years old but I haven’t been back since my honeymoon which was about 9 years ago now. I would hope to go back there in the next few years for a holiday as my little boy was born in the UK and he has never been there. Thank you for the follow and I look forward to your future posts. xx

  17. Thanks for following my blog. I’m breathless just reading yours. You’re certainly not one to let the grass grow under your feet. Look forward to seeing where you pitch up next.

  18. i always dream to travel the world, perhaps maybe not now, maybe soon enough. you have a very inspiring story.. Goodluck and Godbless! Happy blogging and hope to read more about travel and places you`ve been soon! Keep it up!

  21. Really like your blog, Tessa-Rose. I love traveling myself and it’s both inspirational and a good learning to go through your experiences around the world 🙂

  22. Hi Tessa-Rose. Thanks for the follow! So you discovered the best kept secret known as Taiwan too? Isn’t it amazing there? I’ve only been there twice, but I can’t wait to go back again. Happy trails!

    Cheers,
    Patrick

  23. I randomly ran into your blog, but you hit a soft spot when I saw the words “American Midwest” (I moved from Overland Park, Kansas to Vienna about a month ago to do my Master’s). I’ll probably check in here every once in a while. No need to reciprocate, since my blog is more of a personal deal to my friends and family back home.
Hope all is well and safe travels!

    • We traveling Kansans (because that’s really home for me) need to stick together– there’s not so many of us abroad. Vienna is beautiful! Enjoy your time there!

Thanks for checking out my blog, and happy travels! 🙂

      • Haha. Well, now that you’re telling me American Midwest = Kansas you get major bonus points.
Thanks for the good wishes. I might not be travelling as much once I start my Master’s at the end of this month, but feel free to let me know if you ever swing by Vienna. It really is an awesome place and I always love to connect/stayInTouch with people (although I don’t overdo it because I prefer close friends instead of random acquaintances).

Have fun wherever you’re travelling now and later! 🙂
